Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson grew growing up in Mexico in a family who loved music. She spent most of her early years listening to classic music, boleros from the past, traditional ranchero or romantic tunes, as well classic classical music. Ana has a passion for the opera and tango genres as well as all forms of dramatic performance. When she was a child, her mother would sing with her and sister, she began more intense singing lessons at the age of 16 under the tutelage by renowned Mexican tenor FlavioBecerra. Music lessons continued throughout the School of Music of Guadalajara University. Later, she attended the School of Sacred Music of Toluca. As a student and young professional, she performed with various chamber groups as well as opera choirs in Guadalajara as well as Mexico City. She sang in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to southern California. She's a regular solo performer at private parties and events singing traditional Latin American Music. She has been involved with a number of local organizations and is a teacher as well as a performer due to her enthusiasm for art and music. Ana was also a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana finds it a privilege to be able bring to others her passion for the tradition of Latin American music. She hopes to encourage younger generations to preserve the traditions.
